Starting a business isn’t easy. In fact more than 90% of businesses fail in the first year and over the next year an even higher percent of those left fail. If you have a business startup you have realised quickly there is a lot of work to be done. Not least of which is get some kind of web presence. Here are some tips. We’re going to help you with that aspect of your business startup though.
1. HTML or whatever programming or program they have to use to make it look how you want. This is of course what you need to launch the site. But don’t get this aspect confused with design. Programmers are not designers (no matter how badly some want to be.)
2. Design. They should have a Designer who will come up with this. Would you let a carpenter decide which furniture to buy? No? Well same thing, programmers are carpenters and designers are designers
3. A writer. Just because someone knows English, does not mean they can write website content. Ultimately you are selling something, whether yourself or a product or service. If you were to rent a billboard, you would hire a professional writer to come up with your tagline. Well, more people are going to see your website and it has a lot more words.
4. Search engine junk. You’ve heard about it, it’s what decides where your site is located in search engines. Obviously you want it on the first couple pages. Problem is so does everyone else on earth. In fact some people not even selling anything want theirs first because they think they’ll earn money (they won’t, you have to sell stuff to make money on the internet believe it or not.) I could go further into SEO, it’s not all about keywords, time active on the net and updates play a role, backlinks, etc. This is something you are going to want to look into.
Get those four aspects together to make your webpage, and your business startup is going to have a huge head start, at least the internet portion.
